RESURRECTION OF
HOPE!

Why I'm Running For Governor...
“I am running for the Governor of the State of Tennessee because I have lived in this great state most of my life. As a surrogate mother of 92 children, former educator, business owner and community advocate, I want to keep and restore this state back to a great place to live, raise a family and where diverse citizens thrive for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness which all should be afforded the opportunity to have a seat at the table of prosperity.
I have the experience in finance, governmental regulations and community service necessary to be an effective Governor for the people. I have a proven record of being a servant of people for over 45 years across the State of Tennessee. I have fought against economic disparities, housing disparities, school inequalities, political corruption, environmental injustice, police brutality, unfair living wages, dismantling of Unions, tax incentives to the rich, gentrification, closings of rural hospitals, gross mass incarceration, and criminal injustice. I will work hard and make sure your voices are heard. I come with the Resurrection of Hope! I am the epitome of a “People’s Governor.”
THE ISSUES. THE PRIORITIES!

POVERTY CRISIS
AND HOMELESSNESS
As the next Governor of the State of Tennessee, I am totally against the criminalization of homeless individuals. To counteract these barbaric actions of this present administration, I would be initiative-taking in implementing my “Homeless
to Homeownership Plan”.

TENNESSEE POLITICAL
AND JUDICIAL REFORM
Injustice is being carry out across the State of Tennessee under the “color of law”. Under my administration as the next Governor, the silence would be broken, and political and judicial abuse would be investigated through a mutual agency brought into the State of Tennessee

COMMON SENSE
GUN SAFETY
It is my belief that our lack of gun safety measures is bipartisan, and all Tennesseans should be concern regarding this epidemic of senseless killing of innocent people. The mass killings at the Waffle House in Nashville, Tennessee should have been a wake call to the need for gun safety measures.

What People Are Saying!
Carl Flake
Retired Postal Worker and Former President of the Memphis Letter Carrier Band, Memphis, Tennessee
This is one of the most powerful women I have encountered when it comes to given back to the community. She has the strong constitution and tenacity to activate a plan that encompasses all Tennesseans. She possesses superb organizational and financial skills because I served on a local Board of Directors with her. She turned this dysfunctional organization totally around in less than six months. I have seen her feed the whole neighborhood, create jobs for ex-felons, teenagers, and single parents. She treats people with dignity and pride no matter what walk of life they may possess. She never stops fighting for what is right!

Dr. Carnita Atwater is a unique and caring person. I have witnessed her feed over 10,000 individuals, nurtured underserved and marginalized children, catered to the needs of senior citizens, and fought for the rights of all citizens when others stood against her. She is indeed a force to be reckoned with when it comes to fighting for people’s rights. She is relentless when it comes to citizens’ Constitutional Rights.
Mary Bradberry
Retired Teacher,

Dr. Carnita Atwater would certainly make an exceptional, people-oriented and community-focused Governor of the people. She is a woman of her words and deeds. With tireless energy, she focuses on meeting the needs of the people by any means necessary. What most impressed me about this gubernatorial candidate is how she sleeps out with the homeless individuals to learn their needs. Now, this is what you would call grassroots, boots-on-the-ground Governor.

Just Imagine…A New Tennessee
Rising Up from the Dead…
